Movies
Movies via cable/DVD/VHS suit me better. As I was putting this page together I started to really see the selection of the movies. I knew they were some of my favorites but as you look at them - well, just doesn't seem like anyone should admit to liking these all in one grouping. So the movies I have to throw in here are to look half way sane Yes I still like all of these even if no individual attention has been paid to them. No order - just rambling . . Total Recall, Slither, Instinct, Incredibles, The Mummy, Pitch Black, Jurrasic Park, Judge Dread, Bringing Up Baby, Hard Rain, Mutiny on the Bounty, 12 Angry Men, Die Hard, Speed, Last Rites, The Usual Suspects, The Sting Bound: Great lesbian movie but the photography is magnificent!

If you can imagine, when Rocky Horror Picture Show first came out to VSH I preordered it to get the discounted price of $89.99! I have 3 VHS tapes and the CD. I was one of the original groupies seeing the movie near 200 times, dressed up as Magenta. I didn’t identify with the character but I looked more like her than any other. St. Louis had a hard time accepting the film and unless you knew about the Varsity you had no clue. As was noted when I was detained by the law under the suspicion of prostituting until they talked to my mom who verified I was waiting for a friend to pick me up because I was going to work. ‘Don’t Dream it - Be it’ I should have as a bumper sticker. I have a collectable figurine set and a special framed photo of Frankie.

Dark Castle has remade several of the old
classics, which have turned out as well as and even some better than the
originals. I liked the House on Haunted Hill a lot. Thirteen Ghosts was originally played here in St. Louis at
the Fox as a three-D movie you had to wear glasses with in order to see
the ghosts. In the remake, I think how they integrated the wearing of
glasses by the characters was great.

| Hellraiser: I am a fan of the series,
although the last one was not my favorite. The concept is interesting
but I think I enjoy the psychological aspect of how pain can become
pleasure. There are a lot of mental as well as physical tortures in
these movies. I got a 'puzzle box' and was given a Pinhead collectable figure
but I am not interested in collecting any of the others. If you like the
movie too - these are poster links.

Damn sexy voice "I claim that which is owed." The Djinn I bet sex with him would leave me breathless <LOL>
|
| Candyman: The first one. If I was ever going
to have a smoking fetish it would be satisfied in seeing the opening
scene with the character ‘Helen’. Extending the fact that it is a
white woman and black man would in it self make me enjoy the movie,
being a horror flick makes it better, and then the sick and twisted love
story puts it over the top. I have just one of the collectable
figurines. I am a big fan of Clive's. This is a tragic love story.

SubSpecies: They are terrible B rated movies (more like and F) and Italian non-the less. Another tortured love story with my always loved vampire theme. 'Nasfuratu' would give you an idea of what the main vampire character is like. I have a collectable figurine set from 'Nasfuratu'. I have had several on a search for many years to find ALL of the movies. 2007 they came out as a set and I was given them series for a holiday gift. |
Alien Series:
The pureness of the alien’s
nature and the human will to live and overcome are both an inspiration.
‘Predator’ I liked but never was really a fan of but add in the
alien and the fighting between the two, AVP I do watch
occasionally. |

This is a great link to a not so great trailer. This is a sick movie and very hard to explain why I like it so much. The music - that is it - great sound track...? Check out the Amazon link from Flesh Farm for music samples. I like a few of Rob Zombie's movies but am not a fan that has to see every thing he does. This highly dysfunctional family is loyal within themselves and love each other which is more than I can say about most families, most families are not that close. I know it sounds odd but I think the ending was rather sad. |

| I have a Freddy from 'Nightmare on Elm Street' but
that is it for the collectable figures. I can't
think of any others I would want except maybe an 'Alien' since I don't generally
care for 'stuff'. |
